Chocolate World has been running since May 2002 and I purchased the business in February 2003. There is enormous potential and growth potential due largely to the fact that no-one else is importing quality European handmade chocolates.

The quality of the blocks, bars, boxes, handmades and coffee is exceptional and are of the same high standard that would be found on the streets of Belgium, France, Germany and Switzerland.

Located in the historical Adelaide Arcade, Chocolate World is in the perfect city location. The Adelaide Arcade was built as a shopping centre in the 19th Century and remains true to its original heritage. Classic Victorian architecture... complementary decor... a sense of history... an ambience of style... perfect for Adelaide's finest chocolate store.

As my knowledge and understanding of chocolate improved, so did Chocolate World. I only stock the highest quality of chocolate that is available and I pass on my knowledge to customers.

Chocolate World has undergone a major face lift with improved branding, lighting, signage and general appearance. I have introduced hot chocolate in to the store which is high in cocoa and quality. Our hot chocolate is widely regarded as one of (if not the best!) the best available anywhere in South Australia. Sales have increased considerably since, and it has provided an extra source of turnover and attracted an additional target market.

In August 2006, I held a chocolate tasting in Adelaide Arcade where 200 people attended. The night was one of pure indulgence and decadence. It was a wonderful night which increased Chocolate World's exposure and my guest's knowledge in chocolate.

Once a customer enters the store and receives the quality product and service that the business prides itself on, they are a customer for life. More than 80% of my customers are regulars.

Corporate, wedding and coffee sales have enormous growth potential and the continued improvement and promotion of the website will assist in this.

During the past three years, Chocolate World has developed systems, procedures and excellent relationships with their suppliers that enable the running of Chocolate World to be efficient and low maintenance.

Owning Chocolate World has provided me with a great sense of achievement and satisfaction. The next passionate and dedicated owner of Chocolate World will take the store to an even greater level as the opportunities and potential are endless.
